Farewell Fa'afiu!

Today I'm going to be blogging about a student from the kia manawanui. And she was also a student leader, also in the band. Her name was Fa'afiu. It was really sad that she left. Well All of her friends were crying. I was crying(in the inside). But we all miss her. This is just a small message to her.
Fa'afiu if you're reading this we will always be by your side!

   

Growth mindset-Fe'ao

Having a growth mindset?

What does having a growth mindset mean?
A growth mindset is someone that never gives up and always tries their best to achieve anything.
That's the person you should be! The that always tries their best to never gives up!
If you are the person that think you're a loser, someone that gives up already.
That's someone that you shouldn't be. Brighten up! Here's a message to anyone who thinks it's ok to give up!
Don't give up!
Because I believe in you!
We all believe in you!
If anyone can do it. You can do it!
A jamaican always says this Strength no weakness!(I forgot what his name was)
     

Technology-Fe'ao

IALT:Reflect on what I learnt in Technology so far and what I need to improve on!

Today I'm going to be telling you guys what I'm going to be making for Technology(Hardmaterials).
So I'm going to be making a pencil holder for myself. The reason why I'm going to be making this is because I love drawing and I have to many pencils(and colouring pencil).
And this could be really great! Other designs that I draft out, I didn't decide to make it because I don't really think it could be useful to me! And other reasons why because most of them looked to complicated like one that I thought of! It was a pencil holder and a sharpener holder! But Mister Grundy ask question that I didn't know. And everyone was pass where I was!
So my ways to improve on this is to focus more on my work! And don't wander around the room and to just try to get my project done!

Today I'm going to stand for christchurch!(Even though that was like around March the 8th?)
Well anyways this is my message to everyone. Because we stand together because, if you knock us down we still find a way to get up! Because we never give up! You should too! Don't be the bad person. Be the person that people always look up to you! Because that is what makes you better person!

How can I become a smart learner?-Fe'ao

Ways that I can be a smart learner is...

• Move away from other if there distracting me.
• Blog more often in and out of school.
• Finish off my task in a high standard.
• And to blog at home!
• To be cybersmart in my learing.

Way I could improve my skill are...

• To stay in at my break times and blog!
• To challenge myself in learing. 
• Understand what I should do during learning time.
•  Stay on task.
• Finish my work in time!
• Ask for help if I get stuck in anything.

My day at school so far!

Hi everyone,

I'm going to be talking about how it's been in school so far!

Well it's going good so far but I need to blog more often because I'm a student leader and I need to blog more.

It's been great being at school learning new stuff that didn't know or asking for help if I need help!

It's been pretty good in school!

But the lonely thing I'm focusing on is getting my work done and making sure it's in a standard of a year 8 level.And also trying to blog more often!

Because when I learn something I just don't blog it!

I think I have 43 drafts!

Geography-Fe'ao

Today we have been given the word Geography for our vocabulary.
What the word Geography meant to me was the study of human life.
Like when you study the humans body or like the history of humans!
But actually Geography is the study of the earth. like land!
Let's break the word apart.
Geo. What the word geo means is about the earth.
And the word graphy means is to write about something.
Well there are 3 main geography.

There is the Human geography, physical geography and the environment one!

The Desert Kaupoi-Fe'ao

WALT:reflect on the text that we read.
This week I've been reading a text called The Desert Kaupoi by Ariana Tikao.
A key idea in this text is bravery. An example of bravery is about the people who fought in World War 2 . Who never experienced fighting in war before. And wanted to fight on behalf of all New Zealanders and their families. And a young man name Tonny. Tony's first mission was to gather information about where the enemies positions are. And Tony got the Military award for his bravery.

Another key idea  from the text is Heroism. How Heroism is shown in this text are the soldier who fought and died for us. Many soldiers died in action because they never experienced war before and also had basic training. But they also gained more information about the where the enemies were going attack. Other soldiers died from flies that carried diseases. Others who looked after the soldiers when they were sick are true heroes.
